Detailed about the Ashrams
Trimurti Ashram (Kyiv)
Trimurti Ashram is located in a picturesque place in the southern part of the Kiev region. It was founded in 2015 with the blessings of Sri Guru Swami Vishnudevananda Giri.
The Trimurti Ashram has long been the central ashram of the Worldwide Sanatana Dharma Community (now the central ashram is located in Italy). Before the war, the Guru lived in the ashram and most of the monastics were studying, all major ceremonies and celebrations, seminars, retreats and initiations took place.
There are 6 temples on the territory of the ashram today: Guru Dattatreya, Swami Avadhuta Brahmananda, 18 Siddhas, Lakshmi, Saraswati and Shiva.
Before the outbreak of hostilities, the construction of a large altar hall of the community with an area of 200 square meters was completed. A Vedic settlement of lay disciples began to flourish around the ashram. A building was bought for a hotel for the guests of the ashram, several greenhouses were organized for self-sufficiency, as well as a large vegetable garden.
In connection with the outbreak of hostilities, most of the residents of the ashram migrated to Europe, and the functions of the Shakti-Pitha (Place of Power) of the community were transferred to Italy.
The territory of Trimurti Ashram is supported by several disciples.
Vidya Sagara Ashram (Kyiv)
The Vidya Sagara Ashram, with the blessing of the Guru, was established on February 12, 2020. The ashram is located in the Kiev region.
The name "Vidya Sagara" translates as "Ocean of Knowledge". This is the ashram of the central mandala (the main abode of the Guru), which has a retreat and educational specialization. It is also the representative office of the Vidya Mandala (Educational Department) of the Worldwide Sanatana Dharma Community.
On the territory of the ashram, two temples have been erected and function - Shiva and Saraswati (the first buildings opened in the ashram), the retreat complex "Forest Flower" for 6 individual cells.
Large-scale construction was planned, which was suspended due to the outbreak of hostilities.
Shiva Datta Satchidananda Ashram (Odessa)
Shiva Datta Satchidananda Ashram was founded in June 2016 with the blessing of Sri Guru Swami Vishnudevananda Giri and was planned by the Guru as an international retreat centre intended only for retreats and the residence of those practitioners who are ready for serious sadhana and tapas.
The main distinguishing feature of this ashram was the preservation of a complete mauna on the territory, communication with notes, and the non-use of electronic devices. The routine is also distinguished by a schedule aimed at deepening practice and meditation.
There are 4 temples (Shiva, Ganesha, Lakshmi-Narayana and Tara) on the territory of the ashram, and the Shivalingam mandir was erected in the recent past.
Before the outbreak of hostilities, it was planned to build a Shiva-Datta temple, a large retreat centre, a settlement for lay disciples, as well as a children's school for children from the families of practitioners.
To maintain the ashrams of Ukraine in a "functional" stable state, the payment of utilities requires an annual fund of $10,000.
