Avadhuta Siddha

The ashram is located in a holy place at the foot of the Tiger Hill, on the site of the mahasamaddhi of our paramguru, the greatest saint of South India, Swami Brahmananda. A temple, a museum, a Shiva Mandir have already been erected near the ashram and a guest house is currently being built. Many disciples come here for pilgrimage, immersing themselves in the field of Sri Guru Brahmananda's lila.

You can take part in the provision of the ashram and projects that are related to it. It is also possible to make donations to the place of samadhi in the form of flowers, garlands, fruits and everything necessary for pujas. This will help to manifest your connection with our Param-guru, who always supports his devotees.

Detailed about the Ashram

The ashram is located in a holy place at the foot of the Tiger Hill, on the site of the mahasamaddhi of the greatest saint of South India, Swami Brahmananda, our paramguru.

The first time the Guru, accompanied by monks, visited the Samadhi of Paramguru Brahmananda (Spiritual Teacher Sri Guru Swami Vishnudevananda Giri) in 2010, after the Kumbh Mela.

In 2015, a museum was built next to the Brahmananda ashram.

In 2019, with the blessing of the Guru, land was purchased for the ashram next to the place of Mahasamadhi Paramguru avadhuta Mahayoga Shiva Prabhakara.

In 2020, on February 7, the foundation stone of the Ashram building took place, and on May 1, 2022, its opening took place.

And in the same year, on May 5, a ritual was held - the laying of relics for the construction of the temple of Paramguru.

On September 2, the temple was inaugurated in the presence of the Guru, mahants and a large number of disciples who came from all over the world.

A festive program was held by the devotees of Kerala. Also, the Guru, Ananda Lila and Uttamika were presented with certificates of appreciation for the construction of the temple to the great siddha yogi Shiva Prabhakara. From Tamil Nadu came Karpura Sundara Pandian, a long-time devotee of Shiva Prabhakara, who with Janardan Nair (a devotee in whose house the great siddha lived for about 20 years) visited us back in Russia.

During the opening of the temple, a pillar of light was visible going high into the sky, and in the evening a full rainbow appeared over the ashram. The devotees of Paramguru, who knew him during his lifetime, said that our temple is a mighty place of power.

At the moment, monks and karma-sannyasis live in the ashram.

The mahant of the ashram is Mahamandaleshwar Swamini Ananda Lila Giri.

The ashram invites everyone to be in its space next to the place of Samadhi of Paramguru. Here, according to the tradition of the siddhas, it is believed that only the siddha himself decides who can be or live in the immediate vicinity of him.

Whoever wishes can always take part in the provision of the ashram and the projects related to it. As well as donations to the place of samadhi itself in the form of flowers, garlands, fruits and everything necessary for pujas.

In 2024, the construction of a samaya guesthouse began, on the neighbouring territory, which directly borders on one side with the ashram, on the other - with the place of samadhi.

What you can participate in to maintain this mystical space next to samadhi:

  • conducting Guru Yoga in the Paramguru temple – 2 times a day (with the offering of 5 elements) – possible online and at a distance;
  • staying in the ashram and maintaining a schedule, with daily sadhana;
  • passing an individual retreat;
  • maintaining the ashram – everyday life and landscape design;
  • participation in the construction of cells for individual retreats on the site next to samadhi (4 cells are planned);
  • the erection of the mandir of Lakshmi and Dattatreya;
  • construction of a kitchen and dining room for monks and lay disciples.
