Our Guru, Swami Vishnudevananda Giri, has written more than 200 books in which he clarifies esotericism, philosophy, the basics of meditation, contemplation, kundalini yoga, mantra yoga, karma yoga and other topics. In them, he conveys invaluable knowledge about Liberation in a modern, understandable language, combining the ancient teachings of the siddhas with examples from our lives.

One of the seven jewels that are transmitted in our spiritual tradition to followers and disciples is the shastra, the sacred texts and upadeshas (oral instructions) of the saints of the lineage.

«The shastras not only give mental knowledge, they also give blessings, the grace of God and the saints (shastra-kripa), and the whole point is precisely to receive this blessing. The sastras, the scriptures are the deities, the keepers of wisdom and knowledge, the divine vessels (vidyadharas). They contain the hidden mystical power of wisdom and blessings of gods and saints. The task of the seeker is to ‘unseal’ this dormant force within them with the Guru’s help, training and analysis. This is the secret of the shastra-kripa (the grace of the sacred text)».

Among the Guru’s books there are those that are written by him, as well as those that are collected from numerous lectures, satsangs and articles of the Master.
