«If anyone knew how hard the monk's path is, no one would turn to him. But if anyone knew how sweet the fruit of monasticism is, the whole world would have accepted sannyasa long ago»...

Sadguru Swami Vishnudevananda Giri

Another important aspect of the institution of sannyasa (monasticism) is the admission for study of those who have ‘ventured’ on this serious and dignified path.

Project details

Support required for:

  • providing the necessary things for the first years, as well as the availability of devices for service and training (phone, laptop, player, watch);
  • acquisition of saddhu-tattv (personal ritual items of the future monk for meditation and prayer);
  • contribution per cell (depends on the ashram);
  • partial self-sufficiency for the first two years of the monastic journey;
  • visa processing (for countries where required).

To support someone who is ready to enter the path of sannyasa, provided that he does not have the finances, but he has determination and willingness. It is a really good deed and a great opportunity to establish a strong connection with the spiritual tradition.

Support someone who is already entering sannyasa means in the future to have the same favourable opportunity to follow the spiritual path unhindered in any status: monk or disciple.

«I was looking for happiness in wealth, luxury and entertainment,
Pleasures like the Kashmir Raja,
But, alas, except for satiety, capriciousness
And fatigue from worldly desires
Gained nothing.

It's time to turn to monasticism!
I was looking for happiness in fame, fame,
Good reputation and good name,
But alas, apart from the gossip headache,
Rumors and inventions, annoying requests
From others, found nothing.

It's time to turn to monasticism!
I was looking for happiness in a woman like a goddess,
Which I would love without memory,
Idolized and worshiped,
But, alas, apart from disappointment, bitterness and
Heartache from affection
Found nothing.

It's time to turn to monasticism!»
