Translating the Guru's teachings into various languages is a strategically important direction of Guru Sthana. More and more spiritual seekers from different countries are expressing interest in the Teachings transmitted by the Guru. Therefore, we translate books, satsangs, lectures, websites, social networks and educational materials. Cultural and linguistic sensitivities are taken into account in order to convey knowledge without distortion.

Without the constant efforts of translators, the world would not have discovered the Enlightened Masters. You can support the translation department through donations or service in order for people from different countries to become disciples of the Guru. Your contribution to this project will help spread the knowledge that Guru imparts beyond language barriers, opening the way to the Teachings for seekers around the world.

Project details

«A long time ago, thousands of years ago, the siddhis, meeting in the Great Dharma Assembly (Dharma Maha Sabha), proclaimed these principles:
'Arruppadai' is a universal awakening for all beings,
'Loka-sangraha' is the common goodness for all living beings.
And we need to learn to think and act in the same way».

Sadguru Swami Vishnudevananda Giri, The Master's Code

An important part of Guru Sthana's mission is to translate the Guru's teachings into various languages of the world.

This is painstaking, responsible and inconspicuous, but invariably important work, which we have also been doing for many years, and which is gaining relevance every year, as our sangha grows and expands, and the mission of spreading the Dharma moves to the international level.

The tasks that the translation mandala has:

The 1st aspect is the translation of Guru's books into various languages and their subsequent publication in the respective countries, distribution in bookstores through official literary agencies and large publishing houses.

The 2nd aspect is the translation and dubbing of the Master's lectures, because knowledge is in the presence and direct transmission of the enlightened Master, even through video broadcasts and the overlay of another language. It is something that can inspire and awaken many, many people.

The 3rd aspect is the maintenance of social networks in international languages. Various messengers have long become an integral part of our lives and we get a huge part of the information from them.

The 4th aspect is the translation of the websites of the teachings, the Guru’s websites and also, in the longer term, the translation of the entire system of online correspondence education for the benefit of all sentient beings...

The complexity of this service is in the correct ‘undistorted’ transfer of knowledge, taking into account the mentality and peculiarities of the perception of people from other countries. Therefore, such translators are required not only to have a high level of knowledge of the language, but also to have a certain level of knowledge of the 'spiritual topic'.

But if one did not make constant efforts to translate the sacred texts and instructions, the world would never know the teachers of the Sanatana Dharma tradition, would not be able to get in touch with the wisdom of the East and receive those practices (sadhanas) from which most modern systems of self-improvement, yoga and meditation have grown.

And none of the modern world teachers has ever gained his world fame...

Therefore, we invite you to join this strategically important direction of Guru Sthana for the development of the Dharma – through funding and service.
