Construction of a Shiva temple

The temple is the spiritual heart of the ashram, where the beneficial energy is concentrated and the connection with the deities is established. The Shiva temple in Sadhu Tapovan is created with the sankalpa to embody the principle of non-duality and absolute consciousness in matter, to help the sadhus to discover these aspects within themselves.

Donating to the construction of a temple is a contribution to eternal spiritual values. The built temple of Shiva will become a place of a flow of blessings for all of us. Even a small donation will result in the accumulation of immeasurable merits. After all, Shiva's blessing is capable of piercing many kalpas, changing future incarnations.

The central part of the ashram in Altai is the temple complex. All blessings come from here, here we establish a connection with the saints and deities of the tradition.

Temple complex

Each ashram creates its own unique temple architecture. There are currently two active temples on the ashram territory – the Shiva temple and the Parvati temple. The Shiva temple is planned to be rebuilt and made year-round.

Why Shiva? Because Altai is a place of mountains, the abode of Shiva. Each temple built in honor of the deity is a place of concentration of one or another beneficial energy. Shiva is the principle of non-duality, consciousness as the Absolute. Invoking the blessings of Lord Shiva dissolves the personal mind in the cosmic Consciousness. The name of Shiva has the power to burn away sins, samskaras, vasanas and bestows eternal bliss and unending peace on those who invoke it. Lord Shiva imparts the knowledge of yoga, bhakti and jnana. He is the patron of all schools of yoga and all yogis.

A project was created in the ashram that surpasses the current one: beautiful, stone, insulated, with the possibility of conducting practices in winter. The laying of the foundation is planned for the spring of 2025 and, within a year, the temple is planned to be built.
