Temples or mandirs (small open temples like pavilions) are the divine portals through which the ashram gains its blessing power. In the near future, eight mandirs dedicated to the main deities of our tradition are planned to be built on the territory of the central ashram. This will strengthen the sadhana of the ashram residents, making circumambulations, offering prayers and invoking Anugraha-shakti for the entire sangha.

By supporting the construction of mandirs, you gain merit from each deity according to the qualities inherent in the devata. Such a gift will help you strengthen the subtle spiritual connection with the divine dimension, which can become a powerful support and protection on your spiritual path.

«A city is devoid of holiness where there is no temple, a city where sacred chants are not heard, a city that does not shine with many altars... Such a city is not a city. It is simply a desert».

Thirumurai

What makes an ashram an ashram? What turns an ordinary place into a Shakti Peetha – a center of spiritual power?

Of course it is:

  • the presence of an awakened teacher,
  • the presence of devoted disciples,
  • daily sadhana and service,
  • and also the presence of places for meditation and prayer, the main ones of which are temples…

Temples are accumulators of spiritual energy that transform the space where they are located, they are the transmitters of pure sublime vibrations that help the seeker on the path of awakening. Temples are the divine portals through which the ashram gains its blessing power.

On the territory of Shiva Prem Sagar Ashram, it is planned to build 8 mandirs (small temples made of bronze and marble), dedicated to:

  • Shiva,
  • Ganesha,
  • Dattatreya,
  • Tripurasundari,
  • Lakshmi,
  • Saraswati,
  • Durga,
  • Brahmananda.

Each deity bestows merit according to the qualities inherent in a particular deva (for example, Lakshmi is success and prosperity, Saraswati is wisdom, Durga is protection and overcoming obstacles, etc.).

We invite you to take part in the construction of mandirs and the manifestation of sculptures of deities.
